After more than two decades in European animation, TeamTO has announced the launch of TeamTOKO Animation, a dedicated anime-inspired production division focused on original animated series and feature films, alongside select high-end service work. The studio also unveiled a refreshed brand identity.

The studio also unveiled a refreshed brand identity. Together, these initiatives mark a significant new chapter for TeamTO, reflecting its creative evolution following a year of post-acquisition stabilization under RIVA Studios and signaling its expanding global ambitions.

Last week, we featured a replay of TeamTO Studio’s talk at the Annecy Festival. The management team presented their strategy to relaunch the animation studio, which has recently faced major financial troubles.

As many know, TeamTO has been through a rough patch. The studio had fully embraced an aggressive growth strategy, with new facilities and aiming to produce multiple animated series each year.

Six months on, new CEO Marco Balsamo unveiled a sextet of shows, a push into 2D and adult animation, and new technology.

The Studio Focus will take place on the 10th June where the company will be presenting an expanded slate and new offerings and the tech demo will be held on 11th June, unveiling two proprietary software platforms.

European animation studio TeamTO is set to make a major showing at the upcoming Annecy International Animation Film Festival (June 8-14, 2025), following its acquisition by RIVA Studios in December.
