What’s ahead for TeamTO? Learn more about their strategy in this video

As many know, TeamTO has been through a rough patch.

The studio had fully embraced an aggressive growth strategy, with new facilities and aiming to produce multiple animated series each year. However, the industry’s crisis and the collapse in platform demand dealt a near-fatal blow to its finances.

Following court-supervised recovery proceedings, TeamTO was acquired by Italian company Riva Studios. The commercial court entrusted them with the task of continuing the studio’s journey. Marc Balsamo, the new President of the company, took the opportunity of the Annecy Festival to present his plan, which includes several key initiatives:

• Commercialization of in-house tools that had previously only been used internally, such as the animation software Tangerine and the production management tool Yuzu

• Expanding into 2D animation projects, in addition to 3D animation, which has historically been TeamTO’s core strength
