TeamTO Set for a Major Comeback at the Annecy Festival

Last year, the animation studio TeamTO went through a challenging period, facing financial difficulties that led to court-ordered reorganization. This was followed, at the end of 2024, by its acquisition by Riva Studio.

Now under the leadership of its new CEO Marco Balsamo, TeamTO appears determined to show it is regaining strength: new projects will be announced at the Annecy Festival, in addition to the launch of an animation tool and a production management sofware. Two conferences are planned at Annecy Festival, as part of the MIFA (the International Animation Film Market) conference program!
20 Years of History—and Future Plans
The first of these conferences will be a Studio Focus centered on TeamTO’s 20th anniversary. The studio will also showcase share its future plans, including new projects and a revamped pipeline:

In its 20th year, TeamTO enters a new era—resilient, partnership-driven, and built for the future.This first-look presentation unveils a fearless creative evolution: original IP, adult animation, a next-gen 2D pipeline, and the global debut of its proprietary 3D tech—now shared to empower creators and studios worldwide.
This presentation will take place on Tuesday, June 10, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, in the Salle de la Volière.
Tangerine and Yuzu: TeamTO to Provide Its Technology to Other Studios
As hinted at in the description of the first session, TeamTO will also take advantage of the Annecy Festival and MIFA to unveil tools available to all animation studios.
Developed by the studio’s technology branch, TeamTO Technology, these two tools are named after citrus fruits: Tangerine and Yuzu.
According to the conference announcement, Tangerine is “a real-time animation tool built by animators, boosting efficiency by 30% and enhancing creativity.”
Yuzu, on the other hand, is touted as “a smart production system offering real-time pipeline visibility and seamless coordination.”
